June 25, 2017

Holy Day of Obligation

The Feast of SS Peter and Paul, Thursday 29th June, is a holyday of obligation, when the Church invites and expects us to attend Mass. Mass at 10 am and 7.30 pm. SS Peter and Paul is a special day of prayer for the Pope, the successor of St Peter.

A collection for Peter’s Pence, which assists the Pope in his charitable relief work throughout the world, will be taken after Mass next Sunday. It isn’t used for Vatican administration!
