Christmas Fair Saturday 25th November , 12 noon - 3 pm

Please join us for our 2nd Christmas Fair Committee meeting in the parish hall after 10 am Mass today Sunday 22 October. Get involved today in planning our Christmas Fair & Tombola Sunday

If you’d like to help out come along to our Christmas Fair planning meeting in the parish hall after 10am mass today or speak to Sandra Lipner; Helen Doran or Kristy Bradnum.

For the next few Sundays we’re looking for bottles of wines; filled decorated jars; and chocolate bars/boxes for our Christmas Fair Tombola stand. Please leave donations in the boxes at the church entrance.

Second Collection this weekend for APF – World Mission

There will be a second collection at all Masses this weekend for the work of APF – World Mission. Many thanks for your kind support.

First Holy Communion 2018

We invite all children of our parish who are in Year 3+ to make their First Communion with us next May. The course starts with three sessions before Christmas to rehearse the Nativity Play for Christmas Eve and will continue after Christmas with lessons from 9-10 am every Sunday morning followed by Family Mass. Application forms available from Father Terry and Sandra Lipner after all Masses. Deadline for applications: 11th November 2017.

Calling All Red Boxes!

If you have any Red Boxes at home, please can you put your name on the bottom of the box and bring them to either the Church or the Presbytery. We would be most grateful if they could be returned as soon as possible.

St Mary’s Choir Needs You

Next rehearsal with Liz is on Sunday, 5th Nov. at 11 am in the large hall. We will be preparing the humns for 10 am Mass on Sunday 12th November, all welcome.

Annual Cemetery Mass – Tuesday 14th November 2017

Please note that the Annual Cemetery Mass will take place at the Islington Burial Chapel at St Pancras Cemetery at 2 pm on Tuesday 14th November 2017.

New INCENSED Youth Group (ages 10-18)

Join us on 29th October at 11 am in the community room (Father Terry’s house) for our next youth group meeting. With All Saints’ Day almost upon us, we’ll be thinking about sainthood by looking at Blessed Oscar Romero’s example and have a debate about what holiness means for us. Film Evening: ‘Brooklyn’ – Saturday 11th November

Join us after the Vigil Mass for our autumn film evening + pizza. ‘Brooklyn’ is a romantic drama about the young Irish immigrant Ellis Lace (Saoirse Ronan) who navigates her way through 1950s Brooklyn. No entrance fee, all welcome.

Good Counsel Network – All Night Vigil of Prayer

Helen Tierney writes: Date for your diary – there will be carols at Nazareth House Chapel on Thursday 21st December at 2.30 pm. Helen will be leading choir rehearsals for this – dates to be confirmed shortly.

Educare Safeguarding On Line Training

Educare training programmes can help individuals familiarise themselves with safeguarding matters. Amongst others, it also includes The Child Exploitation and Online Safety programme which helps better understand how children and young people use technology and the associated risks. It is available to all parishioners. Please see the poster on the notice board at the back of the church for further information.
