ALPHA AT ST MARY`S

Peter Krausher writes: We have now had two inspiring sessions - Who Is Jesus and Why Did Jesus Die? Many original DVDs follow, e.g. How Can I Have Faith, How and Why Do I Pray? Does God Heal Today? How Does God Guide Us? How Can I Make The Most Of The Rest Of My Life, etc. It still not too late for new people to join us for the third session, but please note it will be at our house - 2 Lauradale Road East Finchley N2 9LU - Tel 020 8883 4736. We start promptly at 7.30 pm when a hot supper is served. All of us have friends and family who do not go to any church - this is such an opportunity to bring them!

Inquirers about the Catholic faith

If you are not a Catholic, but interested do let Fr Terry know, as we may begin an inquirers class known as the RCIA. Also, if you are a baptised adult Catholic but never confirmed – or perhaps never made your first communion – it might be possible for you to join this group. Written contact details would be helpful.

Wanted: volunteer counters

We have a noble team of counters who count the collection each week, and also make sure that the different categories of income are accounted for. This work helps with the smooth running of the parish and helps ensure accountability for the income. The present team could do with two or three new members. Might this be you? Full training will be given. You should expect to set aside two hours for this on a weekday morning. A regular commitment is requested. Once you are familiar with the processes you would probably only be asked to come in once every two weeks.

Anti-Human Trafficking Event

You are invited to an event Caritas Westminster is hosting to raise awareness of human trafficking and modern slavery in our communities. The evening will focus on why human trafficking is an issue, the response of the church, and practical actions that can be undertaken by a parish. It will take place at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Farm St, London W1K 3AH, from 6.30 to 8.30 pm. As refreshments will be available from 6 pm you are asked to rsvp to caritaswestminster@rcdow.org.uk
