Please leave donations in the large bags at the church entrance and any perishables can be brought the night before or on the day. Thank you. Today’s second collection is for the Sick and Retired Priests Fund. This ensures our elderly and sick priests are supported in their senior years, after a lifetime of service. Our priests baptised us, counselled us in times of sorrow and celebrated with us in times of joy. Please be generous. Most priests retire with modest means. You can also donate online at www.rcdow.org.uk/donations. Thank you for your generosity.

Fire damage on The Grange

Overnight on Tuesday last there was a fire that swept through part of Willow House. At time of writing 12 flats have been evacuated and about half of those are uninhabitable. Thankfully no one was injured. There has been a good response from many sectors of the community offering help. On behalf of the parish I have donated £200 and offered the the hall for meetings of tenants. I have also said that the SVP would be willing to visit the rehoused families if requested, to offer assistance.

Inquirers about the Catholic faith

If you are not a Catholic, but interested do let Fr Terry know, as we may begin an inquirers class known as the RCIA. Also, if you are already an adult Catholic but not confirmed, this course might suit you. Written contact details would be helpful.
