OUR MINISTRIES

We are a church open to all Catholics in the area. Our teams aim to offer something for everyone. If you'd like to get involved, please do get in touch!

prayer

We support each other through prayer. If you have a specific prayer request, please use the book at the back of our church to share this with us.

music

We enjoy both traditional and modern Christian music at St Mary's and welcome instrumentalists and singers who would like to contribute their talents at Mass. A parish choir rehearses and performs carols at Christmas and paschal hymns at Easter.

children's liturgy

We offer children’s liturgy sessions during 10 am Mass on Sundays (term-time). During the sessions we explain the week’s Gospel reading for children aged 0 - 8 often in creative and imaginative ways using drama, props, songs, arts and crafts or just words.

New volunteers welcome, please contact Holly Graham.

sacramental preparation

We prepare children for baptism, first communion and confirmation and adults for baptism, reception into the Church and confirmation through a range of sacramental preparation courses.

For baptisms, please contact Father Peter.

Registration forms for first holy communion and confirmation will be available in the autumn. Please look out for announcements via the parish newsletter.

Registration forms for adults seeking reception into the church, adult baptism or confirmation (RCIA), please contact Holly Graham.
