SICK AND RETIRED OF PRIESTS – SECOND COLLECTION THIS SUNDAY

Today’s collection is for the Sick and Retired Priests’ Fund.  Please give generously and help ensure our sick and older priests are financially supported, having given us a lifetime of dedicated service.  They have baptised us, welcomed us into the church, and offered comfort and prayer at times of sorrow.  Now we have a chance to give back and ensure they have peace of mind during their senior years, when they may be facing failing health and declining mobility.  Please give generously using the envelopes in the church.  You can make a one-off donation or set up a regular donation and become a Patron by completing section 4 on the envelope form.  You can also donate online at www.rcdow.org.uk/donations - the envelopes and posters feature a ‘QR Code’ that you can scan with a phone camera to give online.  Please continue to prayfor the wellbeing of all of our clergy: active, retired and ill.  Thank you.

ALTAR SERVERS MEETING & PRACTICE

The next practice and altar servers meeting will be at 11am on Saturday 22nd November. All new and serving servers are required to attend.

AN ADVENT PLANNED GIVING APPEAL” AIMED AT OUR SECONDARY SCHOOL PUPILS

We’ve just completed our parish’s planned giving appeal, and now we’re turning our hearts toward a new kind of generosity. Next weekend, as we celebrate the Feast of “Christ the King” we’ll be launching a special Advent Giving Appeal — this time focused on secondary school pupils and inviting them to give not money, but practical items for those in need. It’s a chance to make Advent tangible, compassionate, and active — a way for young people to live out their faith through meaningful action. Come next weekend and listen!

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS TRAINING EVENING.

There will be a training session for Eucharistic Ministers—both new and experienced—on Tuesday 18th November at 7:30pm in the Church. This is a valuable opportunity to refresh your understanding of this important ministry and to welcome those newly joining the team. All are warmly encouraged to attend. Thank you for your continued service and dedication to our parish liturgy.

INTERIM ROTAS

Yvonne, the Parish Administrator, has recently e mailed ‘interim rotas’ to the current readers and Eucharistic Ministers. These will cover three weekends in November. A regular rota, as originally stated, until the end of February 2026, will be sent out towards the end of November, once there is confirmation of a number of new parishioners willing to serve.
