The existing rotas end on 9th November and drawing up new rotas will soon begin. A PLANNED GIVING THANK YOU
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who completed one of the green booklets last weekend as part of our Planned Giving Campaign. Your support is deeply appreciated and vital to the future of our parish.
Special thanks to Yvonne for her clear and helpful presentation at all Masses, guiding us through the booklet and explaining how to complete each section. I’m also very grateful to Daniel, Claire, and Ronan for speaking so thoughtfully at all Masses throughout the three-week campaign.
If you were unable to attend last weekend and would still like to support the parish in meeting its financial needs, green booklets are available at the back of the church. Inside, you’ll find forms to set up a Standing Order, apply for Gift Aid, or join the offertory envelope scheme.
Thank you once again for your generosity and commitment to St Mary’s. Together, we’re building a strong and sustainable future for our parish family. Fr Peter.
CAN YOU HELP FR PETER?
We’re currently in need of two laptops for parish use, and Fr Peter would be very grateful for any help.
If you have—or know someone who might be able to donate—a second-hand laptop with good battery life, it would make a real difference. One laptop is needed for catechesis administration, and the other to connect to the projector in the small hall for teaching and presentations.
Our current laptops are gradually failing, and as the parish continues to economise, donated devices would be an ideal solution.
If you can help, please speak to Fr Peter directly or contact the parish office. Thank you so much for your generosity and support.
CONFIRMATION BOILER PROGRAMME 2026
The parish Confirmation Course for 2026 is now open for registration. This 8-week course is open to young adults in year 9 at secondary school who have been baptised and made their First Holy Communion. Please see Fr Peter after Mass for a registration form. REGISTRATION CLOSES AT THE END OF OCTOBER
NOVEMBER IS THE MONTH OF THE HOLY SOULS
Blank forms are available at the back of the church for you to complete with the names of loved ones who have died. Put your list of loved ones into the brown envelope (also at the back of the church) and return either into the Holy Souls box (at the back of the church) or through the presbytery letterbox. The names of all our loved ones will be present on the sanctuary during this special month. Date of the November Holy Souls Mass at St Pancras Cemetery is still to be confirmed.
WEEKDAY MASS IN THE PRESBTERY MEETING ROOM
With the likelihood of a cold snap, the 10am weekday Mass may move into the meeting room attached to the presbytery in November.
EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS TRAINING EVENING.
There will be a training session for Eucharistic Ministers—both new and experienced—on Tuesday 18th November at 7:30pm in the Church. This is a valuable opportunity to refresh your understanding of this important ministry and to welcome those newly joining the team. All are warmly encouraged to attend.Thank you for your continued service and dedication to our parish liturgy.
PARISH CENTRE HALL HIRE
Leaflets advertising Hall Hire of the Parish Centre are available at the back of the church. Hall Hire is a good income stream for the parish – please take a leaflet and tell your friends.
