Please pray for the sick especially those living with dementia, and their carers; for the frail elderly, especially those in Nazareth House; and for those living with cancer or other chronic illness that will not go away.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2019

A FULL CHURCH: SUNDAY 12TH MAY

Please note that we will be celebrating first holy communion at both the 10 am and 12 noon Masses on Sunday 12th May. If you normally attend either of these of course you are welcome to come as usual but be aware that at each of these Masses the church will be very full. You might prefer to attend at either the Saturday Vigil or the 8.30.

REHEARSAL

Parents are reminded that there will be a rehearsal in church on Saturday 11th May at 11 am.

CELEBRATION

There will be a parish reception with celebratory cake in the parish centre after the 10 am Mass on Sunday 19th May, which all parishioners are welcome to join. The children are invited to wear their first communion outfits again for this occasion, including the preceding Mass.

Rosary Devotion to Our Lady for the Month of May

Thursday 9th May with Margaret Ryan, 4A Lankaster Gardens, 4 pm

Friday 10th May with Agnes Day, 54 Squires Lane, at 3 pm.

March for Life

The March for Life UK will take place on Saturday 11th May starting outside Westminster Church House, 25 Great Smith Street, London SW1P 3BN at 2pm. There will also be events in the morning from 9:30am until 1:30pm, for more details and local coach information see www.MarchforLife.co.uk

Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes

You are invited to join the diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes, 20th to 26th July. The theme this year is ‘Blessed are the poor.’ For bookings, call 01732 886666 or visit tangney-tours.com/Westminster. The pilgrimage will be led by Cardinal Nichols, with departures by air from Stansted and by train and coach from London.

Please note that this Monday, the 6th May, is a bank holiday, and Mass will therefore be at 12 noon.

Finance Committee

Members of the Finance Committee are reminded that there will be a meeting this Tuesday 7th May at 8 pm in the presbytery.
